North Park Music Fest 2026: 1 Epic Day of Live Music!

North Park SignAwesome Bookstore, Verbatim Books in North Park

Our team at Go Visit San Diego loves live music. We also enjoy community connection, local creativity, art, and the sound of a local mini book fair on the same day. Put this all together in one of San Diego's coolest neighborhoods and you have the recipe for the 2026 North Park Music Fest!

The one-day event is set to feature an all-new lineup of more than 40+ live musical acts spread over 12 venues, plus a free mini book fair, and a community coming together to support local businesses!

One of San Diego's early summer highlights for me, and one our founder Todd and his wife personally attended last year, the annual music festival will once again transform this bustling neighborhood into an epicenter of sound and creativity.

When and Where is the 2026 North Park Music Fest?

The 2026 North Park Music Fest will take place at multiple venues in the North Park neighborhood on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 12:00pm until 9:00pm, with a few participating venues set to offer live music well into the night.

The list of live music venues participating in the ticketed event include Queen Bee's, True North Tavern, U-31, The Office Bar, NP Community Park, Bivouac Adventure Lodge, and Pretzels & Pints. New in 2026, Granada House will offer a VIP lounge experience exclusively for VIP ticketed guests.

Four additional venues are also set to participate for non-ticketed guests and will be open to the public – Pure Pawsh, Overload, Visual Art + Supply, and Playground Art + Coffee.

Why is the North Park Music Fest a Must-visit Event for Both Locals & Tourists?

North Park is a trendy neighborhood with a bit of a hipster feel that is popular with young professionals.

If you're a music lover like me and appreciate live music and local talent, then I think the 2026 North Park Music Fest is an event you should consider. The event will combine 40+ live acts across diverse genres integrating with the local cultural landscape through music, art and community.

I'm always looking for unique things to do to share with my readers and while it's true that there are many music festivals in San Diego each year, the music on the same day as the mini book fair, art installations, overall local vibe, and multiple venues are what make this event a must-visit!

Tickets Options

2026 ticket options will offer a General Admission option as well as VIP access ticket for those looking for a truly elevated experience.

How Much are Tickets to the North Park Music Fest?

With nine hours of live music, a vendor fair, art and more, I think prices for the 2026 North Park Music Fest are quite affordable. And with a new VIP ticket option this year, there's a few price points to choose from.

  • Pre-purchased General Admission Ticket: $25
  • Day-of General Admission Ticket: $35
  • Pre-purchased VIP Ticket: $65
  • Day-of VIP Ticket: $75

Tickets can be purchased in advance on the official website. Proceeds will support the North Park Business & Neighborhood Foundation (BANF) which is in charge of the neighborhood's community beautification projects.

What's Included with a General Admission Ticket?

A General Admission ticket will get you a wristband that will grant you admission into all seven participating ticketed venues to see all 30+ live performances that are not open to the public.

Just know that venues are capacity controlled so if there's a group you really want to see, you should arrive early.

What's Included with a VIP Ticket?

In addition to all the General Admission access, VIP ticket holders will also receive private VIP lounge access from 1:00pm until 8:00pm at Granada House where they'll be treated to intimate performances by a few featured DJs including Jesus Gonzalez.

VIP access will also include one complimentary craft cocktail, specialty mocktail or craft beer, appetizers from a local restaurant, and front-of-line access to all venues throughout the event.

Are There Discount Tickets Options in 2026?

While the 2025 event offered groups of four and six a discounted ticket price, there are currently no discount ticket options available for the 2026 event.

Can I Buy Tickets to a Single Performance?

The music festival is a package deal, meaning no single tickets are available for performances. Your wristband is good for a single performance, or up to 30+ shows all day on Saturday, June 6th.

A Diverse Lineup of Live Music

I love live music! Festivals like the annual Holo Holo Music Festival San Diego in July and the Adams Avenue Street Fair in September are a few I look forward to attending each year.

I can say that for a one-day event, the 2026 North Park Music Fest is looking like it will be an incredible experience or as the event says, 'One Epic Day'!

What are the Top Performances Set for the Event?

Picking the best performers is really a matter of preference. If the 2026 event is anything like years past, there will be no lack of talent!

The performers I'm personally most looking forward to seeing this year are Frankie & The Witch Fingers, Chris Cutz, Sugar Candy Mountain, Elizabeth Bowersox, and Gypsy Sally.

Let's have a look at the venues and complete music lineup set for this year's event.

Venues Requiring a Ticket

Seven premium venues in 2026 will require a ticket to attend. With 30+ acts set to perform at these venues, I personally think the entry fee is well worth the experience.

Queen Bee's

  • Address: 3925 Ohio St (between University Ave. and Lincoln Ave.)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

Queen Bee's Art and Cultural Center is designed for special events like corporate gatherings and weddings. Depending on how it's set up for the music festival, there could be a large stage and plenty of space for dancing!

Frankie & the Witch Fingers is set to perform at Queen Bee's and as the headliner of this year's festival, they are one I'd highly recommend. Honestly though, I think all of these performers could really put on a show!

  • Tigers in Cairo: 2:00pm - 2:45pm
  • Lion Cut: 3:15pm - 4:00pm
  • Mistress 77: 4:30pm - 5:15pm
  • Miniaturized: 5:45pm - 6:45pm
  • Wild Wild Wets: 7:15pm - 8:15pm
  • Frankie & the Witch Fingers: 8:45pm - 10:00pm

True North Tavern

  • Address: 3815 30th St (between University Ave. and N. Park Way)
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21+

A casual bar offering food, drinks and a dance floor, True North Tavern will be getting in on the action for the first time in 2026, offering 4 DJs spinning onsite from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.

My personal favorite here is Chris Cutz. I like how he blends classics right into the hits of today!

  • DJ Syko: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
  • DJ Rags: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Chris Cutz: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Mr. Hek: 7:30pm - 9:00pm

U-31

  • Address: 3112 University Ave (between Illinois St. and Iowa St.)
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21+

U-31 is unique in that it's more than just a bar. It has TVs, a pool table, and I can say some pretty tasty food as well. It has an outdoor patio and a stage which they'll surely use for the event.

When I think of U-31, I think of DJs, so the highlights here for me are DJ Greyboy and Cut Chemist.

  • Ohmega Watts & QSTN: 4:00pm - 6:45pm
  • DJ Greyboy: 6:45pm - 8:45pm
  • 18 Scales: 8:45pm - 9:45pm
  • Gaslamp Killer: 9:45pm - 11:45pm
  • Cut Chemist: 11:45pm - 1:45am

The Office Bar

  • Address: 3936 30th St (between University Ave. and Lincoln St.)
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21+

The Office Bar is a laidback local favorite with a long bar, plenty of seating, and an area for live music. I really like the high-top tables, especially if I can snag one near the stage at the back of the bar.

Most of these artists will be new to me with Los Pinche Pinches starting off the event at 2:00pm.

  • Los Pinche Pinches: 2:00pm - 2:45pm
  • The Microblades: 3:15pm - 4:15pm
  • Cloud Types: 4:45pm - 5:45pm
  • Scary Pierre: 6:15pm - 7:15pm
  • Sugar Candy Mountain: 7:45pm - 9:00pm

NP Community Park

  • Address: Howard Ave (between Howard Ave. and Lincoln Ave.)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

When I saw that some of the performances would take place in NP Community Park, I was intrigued. North Park Community Park, a beautiful green space between Howard Ave and Lincoln Ave spans a good two blocks right in the heart of North Park.

It looks like the park will offer an eclectic mix of jazz, funk and perhaps even some rock!

  • Julian Esparza Band: 12:00pm - 12:45pm
  • Los Paisanos: 1:15pm - 2:15pm
  • Cozmos: 2:45pm - 3:45pm
  • Spacehall Sound Machine: 4:15pm - 5:15pm
  • Brainstory: 5:45pm - 7:00pm

Bivouac Adventure Lodge

  • Address: 3980 30th St. (between University Ave. and Lincoln Ave.)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

The Bivouac Adventure Lodge: Cider Bar, Coffee Shop, & General Store, located directly adjacent to Biovac Ciderworks is a swanky restaurant and bar serving delicious food, fun drinks, and their very own San Diego ciders.

Our founder Todd, a 2025 North Park Music Fest attendee, said he really enjoyed the Bivouac Adventure Lodge. He said the music was really good and the ciders were delicious.

I personally have my eye on Elizabeth Bowersox's 8:00pm performance. A 2026 San Diego Music Award winner, Elizabeth has a pop country sound that is really on the rise and worth checking out!

  • Gayle Skidmore: 5:15pm - 6:00pm
  • Clinton Davis: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Elizabeth Bowersox: 8:00pm - 9:00pm

Pretzels and Pints

  • Address: 3812 Ray St. (between University Ave. and N. Park Way)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

Pretzels and Pints is your corner bar serving a variety of incredibly tasty pretzels and a wide selection of craft beers. They also have sandwiches and the pretzel pizza which is not to be missed.

Another venue Todd mentioned by name as one he and his wife really enjoyed, for me, this might be my favorite venue on the list!

  • Jesus Gonzalez: 2:00pm - 3:00pm
  • Mochilero: 3:30pm - 4:30pm
  • Avino & The Dwells: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Gypsy Sally: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Lady Dottie & The Diamonds: 8:00pm - 9:00pm

VIP Location

One very special location in 2026 will offer an all-new lounge space for VIP guests only.

Granada House

  • Address: 3855 Granada Avenue (between University Ave. and N. Park Way)
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21+

An intimate event venue with a beautiful rooftop area perfect for a summer evening, the Granada House will play host to a series of DJs from 1:00pm until 8:00pm. I'm expecting a relaxed electric house music style feel throughout the afternoon.

A new offering in 2026, VIP ticket holders will also get a complimentary drink and a delicious selection of appetizers to choose from here as well.

  • Sarayu
  • DJ Black Gas
  • Jesus Gonzalez
  • DJ Lili
  • Le Venado

Venues Open to the Public

In addition to the seven venues requiring a general admission ticket to attend and the one VIP location, four additional venues will feature live music and not require a ticket to attend!

Pure Pawsh

  • Address: 4045 30th St. (between Polk Ave. and Lincoln Ave.)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

Another venue welcoming guests of all ages, Pure Pawsh is a pet store with awesome art work that holds special events and serves beer. I feel like that's all that needs to be said for this very unique establishment!

Their performances are free and no ticket is needed to attend.

  • Rowan Lektorich: 3:00pm - 3:50pm
  • Supper Club String: 4:00pm - 4:50pm
  • Jonas Brand: 5:00pm - 5:50pm
  • Russ Blvd: 6:00pm - 6:50pm
  • Art Motel: 7:00pm - 7:50pm
  • Beatle Trax: 8:00pm - 8:50pm

Overload

  • Address: 3043 University Ave. (between University Ave. and N. Park Way)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

Overload, a locally owned skate shop offering skateboards, footwear and a wide selection of apparel, will be getting in on the action for the first time in 2026.

They will be welcoming three very talented groups from 5:00pm until 8:00pm which should add an interesting, free addition to the day's lineup.

  • Palace of Mourning: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Get Pieced: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Hauntu: 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Visual Art + Supply

  • Address: 3776 30th St. (between N. Park Way and Gunn St.)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

Visual Art + Supply has been known to get involved in community events such as live art battles and workshops. This year they will join the North Park Music Fest welcoming two groups set to perform onsite from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.

Known for their art supplies and friendly owner, if you can find a few free minutes in the afternoon, I'd suggest that you stop in for one of these free performances!

  • Freestyle Beats by Lord Dru: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
  • Atari Cloud: 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Playground Art + Coffee

  • Address: 4045 30th St. (between University Ave. and N. Park Way)
  • Age Requirement: All Ages Welcome

I know Playground Art + Coffee as a relaxed location to grab a warm beverage, pastry, and maybe even a delicious bar of chocolate. The place definitely has an authentic North Park San Diego vibe!

So when I saw they were joining in on the North Park Music Fest fun, as a free to attend venue, I was really excited. Saint Misty will be there performing from 6:00pm until 8:00pm which could make for a great place for a coffee and a little more live music.

  • Saint Misty: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

The North Park Mini Book Fair

While not officially part of the North Park Music Fest, I wanted to tell you about another community event taking place in North Park at the same time!

I personally love live music and am excited for quite a few of the bands set to perform at this year's event, but I also think the North Park Mini Book Fair, running concurrently in North Park with the music, is a very local North Park experience that will once again make the day unique.

What is the North Park Mini Book Fair?

Hosted by Verbatim Books located at 3793 30th Street, between N. Park Way and Gunn Street, the North Park Mini Book Fair is a curated literature market featuring a bespoke collection of San Diego indie bookstores, plus local publishers, authors, crafters and more!

Set to take place from 29th to Ray Street as part of the North Park Community Fair on Saturday, June 6th, I'd say this will be a lively and approachable event featuring a hand-selected group of invited-only booksellers and literary vendors, offering community connection & local creativity!

The monthly event is scheduled from 10:00am until 5:00pm, is dog-friendly, and free for all ages to attend.

What Else is There to See & Do at the North Park Music Fest?

You could always enjoy San Diego's great weather or just grab a coffee and explore the area but for me, I know there's usually a creator fair with interactive art installations!

Local artists often line the streets offering their art for display and some for sale. I'm personally interested to see some of the artists creating live at the event. And what I know for sure is that the neighborhood itself features an array of permanent neighborhood murals, all worth checking out during the event!

Getting to the Music Fest & Where to Park

The North Park Music Fest will take place at a number of venues throughout North Park with 3812 Ray St, San Diego, CA 92104, just across from Verbatim Books, being an excellent place to start!

How Can I Get to the North Park Music Fest?

North Park is centrally located in Downtown San Diego just north of Balboa Park off the 805.

Public transportation options are available including the MTS Bus and rideshares like Uber or Lyft. You could also easily drive and park as the area has quite a few parking lots available.

Fun Coffee Shop in North Park

How Can I Find the Music Venues in North Park

The event has a free Festival Navigator by Walkabout available on iOS and Android that will help you plan and map out your day.

I can say that the area is walkable, just be careful as the streets can get busy, especially in the evenings.

Parking Options

There are a number of parking lots and garages off of University Avenue. Many offer handicapped parking spaces for those who need it.

LAZ Parking at 2747 University Ave. offers 24-hour parking if you need to leave your car overnight.

There is also a parking garage located at 3829 29th St. Parking is $1 per hour or $5 for a full day.

Things to Know Before You Go

Now that you know the basics about the 2026 North Park Music Fest, let's dive into a few frequently asked questions about the event.

With experience at many of San Diego's top music festivals and events, plus a good understanding of the North Park neighborhood, below are some things we think you should know before you arrive!

Is There a Nice Hotel Near the North Park Music Fest?

Yes! The perfect hotel to pair with the 2026 North Park Music Fest is The Lafayette Hotel and Club.

When my friends and I plan ahead, we'll often reserve a few rooms for before and after the event which is a life saver each and every time. It makes coming and going a breeze and offers us a safe way to really have a good time where we don't have to worry about getting home.

Located at 2223 El Cajon Blvd., the 4-star hotel recently underwent a large renovation. Today the retro rooms and suites, reclaimed wood floors, eclectic décor, and famous pool make this the easy choice for our team to pair with the music fest!

How Can I Ensure I Can See My Favorite Artist Perform?

I can say that the 2025 North Park Music Fest was very popular and well attended!

Our number one suggestion is to make a note of the start times for your favorite performers and make sure to arrive early. We were told that getting to venue capacity is possible, so arrive as much as 30 minutes to one hour before the show you want to see to make sure you have enough time to get inside and find a great spot!

What Else Should I Know About North Park?

North Park is located to the north and north west of Balboa Park. The area has a trendy feel with cafes and eateries, indie boutiques along University Avenue, and neighborhood bars with a local feel serving a wide selection of spirits and craft beer.

The vibe has a young professional, hipster, student feel with brunch spots, sushi, taquerias, and coffee shops being plentiful.

I'm a fan of the North Park Thursday Market myself which often has live music and the Observatory North Park, a historical 1929 theater that hosts rock, rap, EDM concerts and more is quite a treat for live music lovers.

I also really enjoy the vintage North Park sign which makes for an awesome picture!

What Can I Do in and Around North Park with My Family?

Besides the restaurants, shopping and coffee shops in North Park itself, Balboa Park just to its south offers many of our team at Go Visit San Diego's favorite things to do in the city!

Balboa Park is home to trails and cafes and is the perfect place for a budget-friendly activity like a picnic on the grass with your kids.

You could also spend an afternoon at the world-famous San Diego Zoo plus more than a dozen museums including a couple of my kid's favorites like the Museum of Us, Fleet Science Center with IMAX, and the San Diego Air and Space Museum.

The cheapest way to get tickets to the zoo and museums is with a Go City San Diego pass. Use discount code GVSD5OFF at checkout for even more savings!

What Should I Wear to the North Park Music Fest

I would suggest that you dress comfortably with good shoes and sunscreen if you visit during the day. There is no special attire required for the event.
