Fleet Week Consession Area and Bar
Some events during Fleet Week are designed for military members and their families such as Military Family Day.
The vast majority of the events, however, are open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend. These include concerts, tours of real Navy ships, a day on an active naval base, and a patriotic boat parade. Here they are in date order.
Navy Band Concert in Chula Vista
- Location: Southwestern College Performing Arts Center, Chula Vista
- Date: Sunday, November 1st, 2026
- Time: Doors open at 1:30pm, concert starts at 2:00pm
Fleet Week kicks off in Chula Vista with a free afternoon concert by Navy Band Southwest, one of the finest military bands in the country. Expect patriotic marches, classical pieces and a few popular favorites.
Admission is completely free and no tickets are required, so just come as you are and bring the family.
Marine Band Concert at Jacobs Music Center
- Location: Jacobs Music Center, Downtown San Diego
- Date: Friday, November 6th, 2026
- Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
I’m a music lover myself and when I get the opportunity to hear live music, I’m usually up for it! This evening concert brings the Marine Band into the acoustically stunning Jacobs Music Center for a tribute to active-duty service members, veterans and military families.
Admission is free and no tickets are required.
Meet the Fleet at 32nd Street
- Location: Naval Base San Diego, 32nd Street
- Date: Saturday, November 7th, 2026
- Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm
This is one of the rare chances to step onto an active military base that is normally closed to visitors. Meet the Fleet offers ship tours, interactive military displays and the chance to talk with the sailors who serve aboard them.
Expect security screening at the gate. Everyone 18 and older needs a REAL ID driver’s license or state ID, a military ID or CAC card, or a passport (photos and paper copies are not accepted), so check your license before you go and leave large bags at home.

Military & Veteran Appreciation Concert
- Location: Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park
- Date: Sunday, November 8th, 2026

Fleet Week and the Spreckels Organ Society team up for a truly unique concert featuring Navy Band Southwest alongside San Diego Civic Organist Raul Prieto Ramirez on the pavilion’s famous outdoor pipe organ.
The concert will be held on Sunday, November 8th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in Balboa Park at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion, and admission is completely free.
Fleet Week Community Breakfast
- Location: USS Midway Museum
- Date: Tuesday, November 10th, 2026
- Time: 7:00am to 9:00am
The Fleet Week Community Breakfast is a pillar of the Fleet Week activities. This year it will take place on Tuesday, November 10th from 7:00am until 9:00am aboard the historic USS Midway Museum, an aircraft carrier that served from 1945 to 1992.
Military personnel, community leaders and supporters come together for the morning. This is always a great chance to hear from these high-ranking and incredibly interesting military members. Tables are purchased in advance on the Fleet Week site, and doors open at 7:00am.
Veterans and Military Boat Parade

As a coastal city and the home of the annual Bayfair event, it’s no surprise that San Diego has a huge boating scene. To celebrate Veterans Day, Fleet Week is hosting its Veterans and Military Boat Parade on Wednesday, November 11th, starting at 10:45am on San Diego Bay.
Boats in the parade will be decorated to fit the military theme, and locals are invited to register their personal boats on the Fleet Week site and join in.
You can watch the parade from any of a number of locations around the bay, including Harbor Island, Shelter Island, Seaport Village, Coronado Tidelands Park, and the shores of the Embarcadero.
Heads up: the separate Veterans Day Parade marches down North Harbor Drive that same morning from 10:00 to 11:30am, with road closures starting around 8:30am, so plan extra time to get there and arrive a little early to get a great spot, especially if you’re bringing the family along.

Public Ship Tours at Broadway Pier

Have you ever wanted to see what a U.S. Navy ship looks like on the inside? Ships will be docked at the Broadway Pier, welcoming you to climb aboard and learn about what daily life is like for the thousands of service members who live on these vessels.
All tours are free and first-come, first-served. Everyone goes through security screening at the pier entrance, and everyone 18 and older needs a REAL ID, a military ID or a passport (photos and paper copies of IDs are not accepted). Children must be at least 5 years old to tour the ships, and the ships are not wheelchair accessible. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended (flip-flops and heels are not safe on ship ladders), large bags and backpacks are not allowed, and no pets are allowed on the ships. Outside food and drinks are not allowed during public visiting, but there will be food trucks.
I went last year with my family and toured an active Navy ship. I can tell you that stepping inside felt surreal. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had in San Diego, which is saying a lot! I can’t wait to do it again this year!
Fleet Week Football Classic

If you’re a college football fan then you won’t want to miss the Fleet Week Football Classic, set for Saturday, November 14th, 2026 at Snapdragon Stadium between the SDSU Aztecs and Utah State.
US Navy active-duty service members are honored guests, with complimentary tickets and pregame roles like the coin toss, and Navy Band Southwest joins the SDSU Marching Aztecs for the pregame march on.
As someone that’s been to Snapdragon Stadium, I’d recommend you plan to arrive with plenty of time to spare as traffic can be quite heavy before events.
