I personally love live music! There's just something special about seeing your favorite artists or band putting on a show for an audience of energetic fans. The anticipation and energy is just electric!

We're really lucky in San Diego to welcome a wide range of headliners, local acts, and more at summer concerts and outdoor music festivals throughout the season. More About Waterfront Park

From his countless trips to Waterfront Park over the years for festivals and events, it's safe to say that our founder Todd knows the venue very well!

It's one of his favorite open-air venues in the city and it's easy to understand why! The way the park sits right along the bay gives it these incredible sunset views and a cool bay breeze you just don't get at other San Diego locations.

There's also something about being surrounded by palm trees and watching the skyline light up behind the stage that makes any live music event there extra special. It's the kind of setting that feels both 'big and welcoming at the same time' - easy to find your own space while still being able to be part of the crowd.

Tickets, Admission, & Hotels

Into the Horizon offers a few ticket choices designed to provide you an option that fits your budget and experience expectations.

If you're like me, having a hotel nearby at a music festival is a really good idea as well so you might also consider a hotel stay to make the most out of your weekend!

How Much Does a 2026 Ticket to Into the Horizon Cost?

The ticket cost will depend on the type of ticket you're buying. Below you'll find the absolute up to the minute prices for all the tickets still available as of the week before the big 2026 event!

The General Admission ticket or GA ticket will give you access to the main festival area.

A 2-day GA ticket will cost you $200, plus fees. If you want to go Saturday or Sunday only, a one-day GA ticket will cost you $105 for each day, plus fees.

You can also upgrade your experience to a VIP ticket. This ticket type includes access to a special VIP area with exclusive front-stage access, an elevated viewing area, dedicated solar-powered and flushable portable toilets, and private bars. A 2-day VIP ticket will cost you $405, plus fees. A VIP ticket for Saturday will run you $220, plus fees, while a Sunday VIP ticket will cost you $200, plus fees.

You can upgrade your tickets in advance or upon arrival, but VIP is based on availability. My advice is to buy them ahead of time or upgrade before you go so you don't miss out.

Where Can I Buy Tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online now through the official Into the Horizon website. While you can buy them when you get there, it's recommended to buy them in advance. This way you can get in quicker and get the party started!

Note that there are no ticket refunds. If something comes up and you can't go, you can transfer your tickets to a friend but you won't be able to get a refund.

What Are the Best Accommodations Near the Into The Horizon Festival 2026?

If you've ever been to a big music festival then you know that they are a ton of fun, the drinks will be flowing, and you'll be tired after the experience.

With that in mind, our team at Go Visit San Diego team recommends staying at a hotel in Downtown San Diego near Waterfront Park. We focused on our absolute favorite hotels that are within a short drive, or even walking distance, from the venue!

Looking up at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego
Looking up at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter is one of my favorites because of its very chill music theme. I love the rooftop pool and bar, and the rooms are always very comfortable as well.

The way I see it, if you're going to a music festival, why not stay at a music-themed hotel, right?

Moxy San Diego Downtown

Another Gaslamp Quarter favorite is the Moxy San Diego Downtown by Marriott which has a funky, unique feel with comfortable beds and an interesting lobby.

In addition to being a short San Diego rideshare or about 30-minute walk from Waterfront Park, the hotel is also close to Petco Park and Seaport Village. This prime location would provide you the perfect opportunity to catch a Padres game against the Dodgers that weekend, or to do some shopping before or after you get your fill of live music!

Cabanas at the Carte Hotel San Diego

Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection By Hilton

The closest hotel of our three recommendations is less than 10 minutes from the venue grounds. The 4-star Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton is modern and clean with a pool and fantastic rooftop bar.

If you choose the Carte Hotel, you'll be able to visit Little Italy by foot in about 10 minutes for a delicious meal, or the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park with a short San Diego rideshare. Those are two of our founder Todd's favorite spots in the city!

What is the Lineup for Into the Horizon Festival 2026?

You'll get to experience electrifying performances from some of the biggest names in music on both Saturday and Sunday!

June 26th UPDATE: Set Times JUST Released

The 2026 set times for all performers across three stages and the silent disco were just released!

Our team at Go Visit San Diego just added the details next to each performer below, including the stage or area and day/time they will perform.

Saturday's Headliner – Tiësto

  • Horizon Stage | Saturday, 9:25pm – 10:55pm

Saturday's headliner will be Tiësto with special guest Zhu. I'm sure fans are hoping he plays "The Business" and "Red Lights".

As a GRAMMY Award Winning, highly decorated icon of the electronic music scene, Tiësto has rewritten the playbook on electronic music. If you've never seen Tiësto perform, I can tell you that his energy will be absolutely out of this world and worth the price of admission!

Sunday's Headliner - Martin Garrix

  • Horizon Stage | Saturday, 8:25pm – 9:55pm

Martin Garrix is the Sunday headliner with special guest James Hype. Garrix is known for his collabs with Bebe Rexha for "In the Name of Love" and with Dua Lipa for "Scared to be Lonely". I personally also think of his songs 'Animals' and 'Tremor'.

His electronic and pop crossover style has opened the door to him headlining at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and the UEFA EURO 2020.

Three Music Stages & a Silent Disco!

With quite a few musical acts scheduled to perform over the two-day event, you can expect to see a few stages. The Sunset Stage will be closer to the main entrance on Ash Street while the Horizon Stage will be in the back closer to W. Grape Street. The Marina Stage will be located right in the middle of the complex, next to the Ferris wheel.

The Silent Disco area will also be in the center of Waterfront Park, next to the Puppy Petting Zoo. Featuring rotating DJs, dancing to music that no one but those with headphones on can hear is an experience I can personally recommend.

Exciting Activities

In addition to the music, there will also be some exciting activities at the park you can look forward to enjoying.

There will be complimentary rides on the iconic Ferris wheel as well as a silent disco. Also, you won't want to miss Del Mar Dog Rescue's puppy petting zoo, a unique experience that I find quite funny, and totally genius!

You'll see these activities, as well as activations and vendors row and some mocktail and food vendors in the center of the venue space, along the Harbor Drive section of the park.

Multiple Bars

As a strictly 21+ event, I can tell you that the drinks will be plentiful. You'll find bars scattered throughout the venue space, especially near the music stages. If you'd prefer a non-alcoholic drink, there will be a mocktail bar in the center of the venue and you'll also find a complimentary water station, with bottled water available for purchase as well.

The VIP Bar and section will be near the Horizon Stage in the rear of the venue.

Getting to the Festival: Parking, Food, & More!

The organizers of the Into the Horizon Festival have made sure you're fully taken care of when it comes to food, parking, and more.

Trolley Passing Through Core Columbia

What's the Best Way to Get to the Festival?

Waterfront Park is located at 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101. The main entrance for the festival will be on Ash Street near the corner with Harbor Drive with VIP ticket holders having a special entrance off of Pacific Highway.

The San Diego Trolley line will be available with the MTS Trolley Blue or Green line being your best bet. The nearest station to the festival entrance gates will be the County Center/Little Italy Station.

If you take a San Diego rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft, there will be a convenient drop-off location on Pacific Highway Drive between Grape and Cedar, which will leave you just a short 3-minute walk to the Ash Street entrance.

Where Can I Park?

There won't be any parking available directly at the venue, but there will be parking lots nearby. For detailed options, you can check out the festival's parking page.

What Food Will be Available at the Festival?

You won't go hungry as there will be a variety of food vendors onsite, featuring vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

My favorite 2026 food vendors will include Firewater Mexican Food, Get the Cluck Outta Here, Sr. Thai BBQ, and Joe's Pizza to name a few of the confirmed participants. If you have a VIP pass, you'll also have access to Dasimbowls and Honesto Café.

The festival will also provide complimentary water, up to 1,500 gallons each day, so bring your hydro flask or small water bottle (up to 20 oz.) to fill up.

ADA Accessibility

The festival will be very ADA-accessible. Check out the ADA information page for all the details.

While service dogs will be allowed, the music volume and crowd size can make it difficult for our four-legged friends. Note that emotional support animals will not be allowed.

Planning Your Visit

The Into the Horizon festival will be a strictly a 21 and over event. You'll have to show a valid ID to get in.

These tips below will help you have a smooth and low stress festival experience!

What Can I Bring (and Not Bring)

The event has a list of allowed items as well as quite a long list of prohibited items you'll want to leave behind so you don't get in trouble. First let's look at a few of the allowed items.

  • Small 12 inch by 12-inch bags or fanny packs
  • Bring empty hydro flask or water bottles 20oz or smaller for free water refills
  • Blanket or towel up to 60 inches by 48 inches
  • Service animals only

A few of the prohibited items of note are listed below.

  • No cigarettes or vaping of any kind. The event is 100% smoke free.
  • No glass, can, or coolers
  • No drones or tripods
  • No laser pointers
  • No flags, tents or folding chairs
  • No outside food or drink (including water)
  • No bikes, skateboards, wagons, carts, or scooters (ADA mobility devices are OK)
  • No infants, toddlers, or kids

You can also leave your cash at home. Into the Horizon will be a cashless event that accepts credit cards or Apple Pay.

What Should I Wear?

While the San Diego temperatures in June can be warm during the day, the evenings can be chilly. Be sure to bring a light sweatshirt or jacket since much of the festival will be at night.

On-Site Amenities

There will be lockers on-site that can be reserved and pre-purchased. They are $20 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday or $35 for a 2-day locker rental. They measure 8 inches by 12 inches by 18 inches and come equipped with a built-in universal phone charger.

There will also be a guest services tent right by the entrance if you need help or the lost & found. Any lost items should be picked up at the festival or within 24 hours. You can email [email protected] if you have questions.

Can I Come and Go From the Festival?

Unfortunately, no. There will be no re-entry to the festival. Once you leave, you won't be able to come back on the same day.

Keeping this, and all the other FAQs in mind, will help you best plan your day and make the most of your Into the Horizon 2026 experience!
