Founded by actor and preservationist Leo Carillo, the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park dates back to the 1980s, when it was first envisioned as a developing park that could assist with public outreach and education programs designed to teach visitors about California’s history.

The ranch still maintains this mission to this day, with a number of family-friendly educational presentations, pamphlets, and exhibits, but you can also immerse yourself in history simply by strolling around the park.
