Whether you prefer to take advantage of everything the resort offers onsite or explore the surrounding area, there’s lots to do within the vicinity of the Glorietta Bay Inn.

Popular Amenities at the Resort
While you stay at the hotel, you’ll have a healthy selection of amenities to enjoy!
Glorietta Bay Inn’s offerings include a heated outdoor swimming pool with beach chairs, plus a hot tub. You can also spend some time in the stunning music room or play mini-golf on the putting green.
Go Golfing
There are a few golf courses in Coronado and nearby areas of San Diego, but if you’re looking to kick back without going far, Glorietta Bay Inn has a putting green right on the property. It’s not quite a whole 9-hole or 18-hole golf course, but it’s still fun to work on your putting skills.
Take a Dip in the Pool
Not all historic properties include a heated pool or hot tub. So it’s worth mentioning that a stay at the Glorietta Bay Inn includes both!
I can say from personal experience that they are both perfect for relaxation and just what the doctor ordered for a slow afternoon or quick plunge after a day exploring the area.
Off-Property Excursions
Aside from the amenities offered at Glorietta Bay Inn, Coronado Island itself has plenty for guests to do during their stay.
Spend time on the beach enjoying the beautiful waters and white sands. You can swim, sunbathe, boogie board, or surf while by the Pacific Ocean. Kayaking and paddle boarding are also popular bay activities for guests to try.

City Attractions
If you want to explore San Diego, take the short drive across the Coronado Bridge to the city where you’ll have a full city’s worth of attractions to see!
To name a few of my favorites, you’ve got LEGOLAND California, SeaWorld San Diego and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Balboa Park’s gardens and museums, La Jolla Cove, Seaport Village, Old Town, and the Gaslamp Quarter.
Those attractions are just a few of my personal favorites! We’ve written a full guide on each so feel free to click on the ones that interest you the most to learn a little more!
The top attractions in San Diego are best enjoyed with a Go City San Diego pass, which lets you save on admission costs as well as gear rentals at the beach. Use our discount code GVSD5OFF to save even more when you pre-purchase your All-inclusive pass.

Explore Coronado Island
Take a tour by foot or on bike, stopping at shops or taking in architecture along the way, including a tour of Hotel Del Coronado to learn more about its history.
Indulge in the delicacies to be found on Coronado by taking a foodie tour with stops at local restaurants. Or take a gondola tour of the island or charter a boat and take it out on open waters.
Before you set out, take advantage of great deals like the Coronado full-day bike rental. In my opinion, this is the ideal way to take a self-guided tour of Coronado’s best sights, from the historic Coronado Bridge to its beaches and boardwalk.
Right across the bridge is easy access to the San Diego International Airport (SAN), the San Diego Convention Center, and the rest of the Downtown San Diego area.

More Nearby Locations Worth Visiting
San Diego’s bigger attractions are tons of fun, but you don’t have to go far to find things to do. If you prefer to stay near the hotel, tennis and golf are a stone’s throw away from the inn for a little friendly competition.
You can also snag a ticket to the vintage movie theater or see a live production at the Coronado Playhouse.
