Overview

Outdoor Pool at Winners Circle ResortTennis Club at Winners Circle Resort

Spacious, cozily decorated and equipped with modern conveniences and amenities, Winners Circle Resort in Solana Beach is like a home away from home, except in a far more ideal location. The resort is situated on prime real estate on the beaches of Del Mar and is close to some of San Diego’s most family-friendly attractions, including LEGOLAND, the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

As a beachside resort, Winners Circle Resort was designed with a laidback, family-friendly vacation in mind. Guests often go from the beach to lobby in flipflops and bathing suit. Each room comes with a private patio or balcony, which is perfect for parents who want to prepare a meal in the room’s kitchenette while their kids splash around in the courtyard pool. The courtyard is also equipped with several grills and picnic tables, which serve to both feed guests and encourage socialization between groups.

Local Tips
The vibrant downtown area of Solana Beach is alive
The vibrant downtown area of Solana Beach is alive with the coastal spirit. In addition, the city of Solana Beach is located just a short, 30-minute drive from San Diego.

At night (or on more overcast Southern California days), guests can take advantage of the hot tub and heated pool. Tennis courts are available for guests’ use, as is the dry sauna, 24/7 fitness center and laundry room.

With such spacious accommodations, guests of the Winners Circle Resort are often on extended vacations. This gives them plenty of time to see and do everything the area has to offer.

Right down the street is the Del Mar Racetrack. If you’re in town during the summer, schedule a day to take in the races and cheer on your favorite thoroughbred. If you’re really lucky, you’ll be in down during the San Diego County Fair, previously the Del Mar Fair. This extended fair runs for an entire month and sees more than 1.5 million visitors each year. The fair hosts big-name musicians and famous bands across all genres, so be sure to check out the itinerary before you arrive.

Torrey Pines State Beach is also just a short walk away. The park covers 2,000 coastal acres and is some of the wildest stretches of land remaining in Southern California. LEGOLAND is right up the road, right next door to the Carlsbad Outlets, both of which are family-friendly destinations. SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and Downtown San Diego are all about a half-hour drive south, while the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is about a half an hour east.
