Nearby the Property
With a convenient beachfront location and loads of nearby activities to choose from, my family and I can honestly say we’ve never been bored when we visit the Tower 23 Hotel.
Here are just some of our favorite fun, adventurous and entertaining activities we love to do each time we make a trip to the hotel.
Explore the Beaches
Beyond Pacific Beach, you can also explore one of the other beaches nearby, including Mission Beach and Windansea Beach in La Jolla. The location is not far from everything that San Diego has to offer, giving you the conveniences and culture of a big city with the serenity of a beach vacation.
The beaches themselves are their own destination, with surfing, sunning, swimming, and seashell collecting - all popular ways to spend your time.
Take a Trip to La Jolla
Head just north to La Jolla for boutique shopping, al fresco dining, exploring the tidal pools or visiting the area’s sea caves by kayak.
La Jolla offers surfing, seal and sea lion viewing, and the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, an interesting hands-on, interactive aquarium that is one of my family’s favorite attractions in San Diego!
Walk, Run, Skateboard or Bike the Famous Boardwalk
When you want to take in more of the local color, the Pacific Beach Boardwalk is just outside the hotel and Crystal Pier is just a short walk away. Here you can enjoy lots of action and people-watching as well as cafes and shops.
Have a Funtastic Time at Belmont Park
Belmont Park, a beachfront amusement park is just up the way on Mission Beach. The historic park feels like a step back in time with rides, games, and snacks.
Take a Scenic Bike Ride
Biking along the waterway or through San Diego’s Bayshore Bikeway for a scenic way to see the city, harbor, and ocean.
