Local Tips
Discover Coronado!
Coronado is the perfect location for family vacation or weekend getaway. Just a short drive from San Diego, Coronado gives you all the conveniences, and beauty, of the San Diego area without the crowds.

With only 14 rooms and each one unique, staying at the Cherokee Lodge is truly more like staying in a home than a hotel. The Cherokee Lodge was one of the earliest lodgings on the island. It gets its name from the wild Cherokee roses that grew on the property. The well-kept garden still blooms with beautiful flowers and other plants.

Outside the hotel is a pleasant seating area for relaxing or enjoying a picnic. There is also a covered porch to sit on out of the sun and very occasional bad weather.

There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and a computer station for guests who need it. Additionally, there are conveniences such as luggage storage, a microwave in the common area and self-serve laundry.

The hotel offers free continental breakfast to guests every day. Additionally, there are some excellent dining options on the island. These include Burger Lounge, Night & Day Café and Leroy’s Kitchen and Lounge. There are also several nearby chains including Panera Bread.

There is a daily maid service and the rooms are all non-smoking. The hotel offers guests beach umbrellas for their use on the island.

The hotel’s aesthetic is very homely and historic. It is situated on a beautiful and well-kept property with an extensive garden. Inside the rooms are cozy and welcoming. Many of the colors, artwork and other décor reflect the relaxing and beach-oriented vibe of the hotel.

Overall, this is a great place to stay for anyone who enjoys beaches, the sun and enjoying seaside towns. The Cherokee Lodge has a lot to offer any city visitors.
