All About the 2026 Uncorked Wine Festival

Get ready for the 11th Annual Uncorked San Diego Wine Festival headed to Downtown this weekend!

I think this just might be San Diego's ultimate wine tasting experience for wine lovers and aficionados. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience a beautiful venue, enjoy live music, taste a delicious variety of cuisine from gourmet food trucks, and, of course, try a wide selection of premium wines!

These kinds of events at the Embarcadero always have a great local energy - open air, waterfront breeze, and a view that reminds you why people love living in and visiting San Diego.

With more than 150 wines and bubblies being poured, plus new twists like spirits, mocktails, and local food trucks, there's something for almost every kind of palate - even if you're not usually a wine person.

Where Will the 2026 Uncorked San Diego Wine Festival be Held?

The event will be held at the Embarcadero Marina Park North right next to Seaport Village, which just so happens to also be one of the best shopping areas in San Diego.

The address is 400 Kettner Boulevard, North San Diego, CA 92101.

Who Benefits from the Festival's Proceeds?

I personally love that the wine festival is not just about the wine - it's a chance to unwind, soak up the city's best views, and support a good cause!

Returning from 2025, this event will once again benefit the local nonprofit Urban Surf 4 Kids. This organization provides water therapy and surf camps for orphan and foster youth in the San Diego area.

Admission Prices & Details

It's Wine Time!

Balanced, earthy, fruity - these are just some of the flavors you'll get to experience at this year's festival.

Attending Wineries in 2026

You'll have the chance to try wines from dozens of wineries at the 2026 wine festival which is scheduled to feature more than 150 wines from around the world.

Our team at Go Visit San Diego has been told that there will be emerging wines from Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Austria this year. However, the final list of new wineries has not yet been released, so it's best to check the app for the latest before you attend.

Below are some of the wineries and vineyards we are told will be there:

  • The Ojai Vineyard
  • Tobin James Cellars
  • Calcada Wines
  • Clos De La Tech
  • Cordant Winery
  • Laird Family Estate
  • Miro Cellars
  • San Simeon Wines
  • Chris Hamilton Cellars
  • Bogle Vineyards

You can also expect some "outside the bottle" options like canned cocktails and seltzers.

Our founder Todd tells me that there's nothing more San Diego than sipping one of these wines by the waterfront in the springtime, and I couldn't agree more!

Zero Proof Wines & Mocktails

Mocktails and zero-proof wines will also be back for the 2026 event. This will allow attendees to have more fun without all the alcohol.

Plus, for my friends that aren't wine drinkers, this adds a twist to the event so they can join us this year and enjoy themselves as well!

More Than Just Wine

It's good to know that the Uncorked San Diego Wine Festival always offers more than wine!

You'll also be able to enjoy food, music, games and more. As our founder, Todd, says, "Uncorked at the Embarcadero is all about good friends, great views, and a laid-back local vibe."

Will There Be Live Music, DJs, or Interactive Zones?

Yes! DJs will be there with plenty of music and there will be a lawn game lounge to keep things fun between tastings. I'm hoping for some corn hole games. That's my favorite, how about you?

Food Truck Options

I love that you'll also be able to pair your wine and drinks with food options available from the local onsite food trucks.

This year we're expecting to see:

  • The Gogo Truck
  • Mr. Greek
  • Drippin' Kitchen
  • Gnarly Nachos and Tacos

More food trucks may be announced soon, so be sure to check the app for the latest updates. If you're going, it's a good excuse to gather your friends, taste something new, and see the bay in a whole different way.

Wine Activities to Round Out the Experience

If you're looking for a more immersive wine tasting experience, I think it'd be nice to pair a trip to the festival with the Little Italy Wine Tasting Walking Tour. The wine tasting tour is 3 hours long and offers multiple Italian wine and food tastings.

You'll get to learn about different wine styles and pairing tips as you walk from stop to stop, taking in the many boutiques, historic buildings, and luxury high rises that Little Italy has to offer.

Parking & Transportation

We are talking about a wine festival here so you'll want to be prepared when it comes to transportation.

Below are some tips for getting you to the event, where to park if you want to drive, public transit options, and more!

Getting There

If you have a designated driver and plan to take your car, the park is accessible via I-5 South or I-5 North.

Parking

The event does not provide any parking on site. Metered parking will be available on the street along the waterfront. Beware, there are 2–3-hour limits, so plan accordingly. There are also nearby paid garages.

Rideshare Options

Many people may not have a designated driver or may not want to deal with parking. If you fall into either category, I would strongly advise taking a San Diego rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. This option will be super convenient dropping you off at the entrance and picking you up without worry.

Public Transportation

Another great local tip would be to take the FRED electric shuttle which runs from 8:00am – 8:00pm all throughout Downtown San Diego on the Saturday of the event. It's a very affordable option that could get you right to the event.

Helpful Tips & Information

Our team at Go Visit San Diego really knows this event inside out!

The Uncorked App

You can download the Uncorked Wine Festival's app, Uncorked, to get a bunch of information about the event.

With the app, you'll be able to see all of the wines being sampled at the event, including bottle images and descriptions, as well as curate a personal wine list of your favorite wines, get info on the food vendors and sponsors, access the event map and more!

Is the Wine Festival a Family Friendly Event? Are there Age Restrictions?

The event is 21+ only. No children are allowed, including infants and babies. Valid ID must be presented for entry to the event.

What if I Drink too Much? Are there Safe Ride Options Available?

Designated Driver Tickets are available for you to purchase at the door.

Also, rideshares like Uber and Lyft will be readily available to get you and your friends home safely!

What Should I Wear?

Spring weather in San Diego is generally mild and sunny. With that in mind, dress appropriately since you'll be outside in the sun.

Where Can I Stay Near the Festival?

If you're looking for a place to rest and sleep off your afternoon of fun, my suggestion here is to book a room at the 4-star Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina.

The nautical-themed, classic style hotel is conveniently located less than a mile from the event location, less than 2 miles from the San Diego International Airport (SAN), and offers spectacular views of the marina or waterfront skyline.

It also has clean, updated rooms, three pools, and a fine dining restaurant.

How Can I Make the Most out of the Event?

My suggestion would be to consider purchasing a Go City San Diego pass in advance so you can enjoy up to 50+% off on other nearby attractions such as the The San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Zoo, and the The Fleet Science Center with IMAX.

I really think you could make a nice weekend out of the event with a stay at the hotel, attending the festival itself, and taking a wine tour or visiting a nearby Balboa Park or a San Diego area museum.

If you want to consider this idea, use discount code GVSD5OFF to enjoy even more savings off the cost of the Go City San Diego pass to land you the lowest admission prices offered!

Events like this are part of what makes downtown feel alive in the spring.
