Summer may be winding down, but things are just heating up as the 2025 San Diego Holo Holo Music Festival is almost here!
The East Village neighborhood is gearing up to host the 2-day musical extravaganza, full of good vibes and the aloha spirit. Attendees can expect to groove to the sounds of reggae and island beats as more than a dozen live acts take the stage to entertain.
The promoter Good Vibes Presents co-owner Dan Sheehan describes the festival as a ‘reflection of his roots’. Dan grew up in Ewa Beach, O'ahu, where ‘island music and reggae were the soundtracks of his childhood’.
One thing I know is that the festival will be an energizing multi-day event that’s family-friendly and perfect for laidback island music loving fans!
Where and When is the San Diego Holo Holo Music Festival in 2025?
The San Diego Holo Holo Music Festival is being held August 30th and 31st, 2025, at Gallagher Square, just outside Petco Park.
This is the third year that San Diego is welcoming the Holo Holo Music Festival, adding to all of the exciting events scheduled at Petco Park this summer and into the fall.
‘Holo Holo’, meaning ‘to travel, to sail, to move’ also has tour dates in Sacramento, Irvine, and San Jose, California plus Oahu, Hawaii, Tacoma, Washington and West Valley City, Utah scheduled for the 2025 tour.
If you’re going to be in San Diego for the Holo Holo Music Festival, you also should check out our Petco Park Events Guide 2025 for more fun live events like San Diego Padres baseball games and a full lineup of awesome concerts still to come in 2025!
Who are the headliners at the Holo Holo Music Festival in San Diego?
The main headliners include J Boog, Common Kings, and The Green.
For me personally though, I’m most excited to see Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Wyclef Jean. As a founding member of the Fugees with Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel, he was the group’s guitarist.
‘Killing Me Softly with His Song’ and ‘Ready or Not’ are two iconic songs from when I was younger, so getting to see him perform at San Diego Holo Holo this year will be a real treat!
