Marissa Bergen has always loved writing!
She turned her passion into a career in 2016 when she began content writing for various industries. Some of her favorite topics include health, travel, and entertainment. She also enjoys writing poetry and songs for her punk rock family band, the CheeseBergens.
Born in New York, Marissa decided to move to Los Angeles to explore opportunities in the music industry. Things took a turn when she settled down and started a family. But don't be mistaken, her wanderlust still inspired her to go on family vacations several times a year, which led her to San Diego, and the sights and sounds of our beautiful city!
Marissa loves San Diego's beaches, the San Diego Zoo, and LEGOLAND California (an annual ritual to celebrate her daughter's birthday). Her band has also played at various San Diego venues, including the Bancroft.
When Marissa is not traveling, content writing, or playing music, she enjoys reading, thrift-store shopping, exercising, and spending time with her family and two cats, Hades and Persephone. She prides herself on her ability to write everything from deep dive content to punk rock songs and we're absolutely happy to have her as part of our team!
