I personally love live music. There’s just something special about seeing your favorite artists or band putting on a show for an audience of energetic fans. The anticipation and energy is just electric!

And we’re really lucky in San Diego to welcome a wide range of headliners, local acts, and more at summer concerts and outdoor music festivals throughout the year. From large production festivals like the Wonderfront Festival and local ones like the North Park Music Fest in the spring and early summer, to Holo Holo San Diego 2025, the Adam’s Avenue Street Fair, and Mission Bayfest 2025 as we head towards the fall, San Diego is an incredible place to be if you love live music like I do!

The ticket cost will depend on the type of ticket you’re buying. The General Admission ticket or GA ticket will give you access to the main festival area.

What Are the Best Accommodations Near the Into The Horizon Festival 2025?

Our Go Visit San Diego team recommends staying at a hotel in Downtown San Diego for easy access to Waterfront Park.

Below are a few of our absolute favorite hotels you can walk to from the festival.

Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter is one of my favorites because of its very chill music theme. If you’re going to a music festival, why not stay at a music-themed hotel, right?

Moxy San Diego Downtown

Another Gaslamp Quarter favorite is the Moxy San Diego Downtown by Marriott which has a funky, unique feel with comfortable beds and an interesting lobby.

This hotel is close to PETCO Park and Seaport Village. You could catch a Padres game or do some shopping before or after you get your fill of live music!

Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection By Hilton

If you’re looking for a convenient hotel that’s near Waterfront Park and several other popular attractions, the Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton is a great choice! The 4-star hotel is modern and clean with a pool and fantastic rooftop bar.

Getting to the Festival: Parking, Food, & More!

The organizers of the Into the Horizon Festival have made sure you’re fully taken care of when it comes to food, parking, and more.

How Do I Get to the Into The Horizon San Diego Festival 2025?

Waterfront Park is located at 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101. The main entrance to the festival is on Ash Street near the corner with Harbor Drive with VIP ticket holders having a special entrance off of Pacific Highway.

The trolley line is available with the MTS Trolley Blue or Green line being your best bet. The nearest station to the festival entrance gates is the County Center/Little Italy Station.

If you take an Uber or Lyft, there is a convenient drop-off location on Pacific Highway Drive between Grape and Cedar. This is just a short 3-minute walk to the Ash Street entrance.

Where Can I Park?

There is no parking available directly at the venue, but there are plenty of parking lots nearby. For detailed options, you can check out the festival’s parking page.

What Food is Available at the Festival?

You won’t go hungry because there is a variety of food vendors onsite, including vegan options, and mocktails!

The festival is also providing complimentary water, up to 1,500 gallons each day. Bring your hydro flask or small water bottle (up to 20 oz.) to fill up.

ADA Accessibility

The festival is very ADA-accessible. Check out the ADA information page for all the details.

While service dogs are allowed, the music volume and crowd size can make it difficult for our four-legged friends. Note that emotional support animals are not allowed for guests.

Planning Your Visit

The Into the Horizon festival is strictly a 21 and over event. You’ll have to show a valid ID to get in.

These tips below will help you have a smooth and low stress festival experience!

What Can I Bring (and Not Bring)

The event has a list of allowed items as well as quite a long list of prohibited items you’ll want to leave behind so you don’t get in trouble. First let’s look at a few of the allowed items.

  • Small 12 inch by 12 inch bags or fanny packs
  • Bring empty hydro flask or water bottles 20oz or smaller for free water refills
  • Blanket or towel up to 60 inches by 48 inches
  • Service animals only

A few of the prohibited items of note are listed below.

  • No cigarettes or vaping of any kind. The event is 100% smoke free.
  • No glass, can, or coolers
  • No drones or tripods

  • No flags, tents or folding chairs
  • No outside food or drink (including water)

You can also leave your cash at home. This is a cashless event that accepts credit cards or Apple Pay only! However, Apple Pay is not available if you buy tickets at the venue.

What Should I Wear?

While the San Diego temperatures in June can be warm during the day, the evenings can be chilly. Be sure to bring a light sweatshirt or jacket since much of the festival is at night.

On-Site Amenities

There are lockers on-site that can be reserved and pre-purchased. They are $20 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday or $35 for a 2-day locker rental. They measure 8 inches by 12 inches by 18 inches and come equipped with a built-in universal phone charger.

There is also a guest services tent right by the entrance if you need help or the lost & found. Any lost items should be picked up at the festival or within 24 hours. You can email info@intothehorizon.com if you have questions.

Can I Come and Go From the Festival?

There is no re-entry to the festival. Once you leave, you can’t come back on the same day.
