Nighttime at the Observatory North Park
I love live music! Festivals like the Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival and Holo Holo San Diego are a few I look forward to attending each year.
I can say that for a one day event, the 2025 North Park Music Fest is looking like it will be an incredible experience or as the event says, ‘One Epic Day’!
What are the Top Performances Set for the Event?
Picking the best performers is really a matter of preference. If the 2025 event is anything like years past there will be no lack of talent.
My top performers are Greyboy & The Midnight Sound Affair, The Moonsellers, Afrika Baby Bam, The Schizophonics, and Rey Wolf.
Let’s have a look at the venues and music lineup set for the event!
The Office Bar
- Address: 3936 30th St (between University and Lincoln St)
- Must be 21+
The Office Bar is a laidback local favorite with a long bar, plenty of seating, and an area for live music. I really like the high-top tables, especially if I can snag one near the stage at the back of the bar.
These artists will be new to me with $kate Jazz starting off the event in the late afternoon.
- $kate Jazz – 4:20pm
- Bachata Surf – 6:15pm
- El Funeral – 7:45pm
- Neighborhood Kids – 9:15pm
Seven Grand
- Address: 3054 University Ave (between Illinois and Ohio St.)
- Must be 21+
Seven Grand is a whiskey lounge with a large bourbon menu plus plenty of local and craft beers. I’m a fan of the backlit wall filled with bottles which adds to the ambiance. The venue works especially well for live music.
I like jazz and smooth instrumentals so all of these performances are of interest to me!

- Greyboy & The Midnight Sound Affair – 6:30pm
- Moonsellers – 8:00pm
Queen Bee’s

Queen Bee’s Art and Cultural Center is designed for special events like corporate gatherings and weddings. Depending on how it’s set up for the music festival, there could be a large stage and plenty of space for dancing!

U-31 is unique in that it’s more than just a bar. It has TVs, a pool table, and I can say some pretty tasty food as well. It has an outdoor patio and a stage which they’ll surely use for the event.
When I think of U-31, I think of DJs, so the highlights here for me are DJ Symphony and Afrika Baby Bam.
