LEGOLAND California’s Brick-or-Treat Returns in 2025!

Meet and Greet at Legoland California Brick or Treat Monster PartyMain Legoland Sign at Legoland Ca

If you have elementary age or younger kids and are looking for some Halloween fun, LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad may just have everything you could ask for with its Brick-or-Treat Monster Party 2025.

What is LEGOLAND California’s Brick-or-Treat Monster Party?

At a glance, Brick-or-Treat is an all-ages Halloween celebration with special themed rides, LEGO Monster meet-and-greets, live shows, trick-or-treating, and lightly spooky décor. If my kids were still little, this would be on our list of must-do activities for Halloween 2025!

It’s an ideal holiday celebration for parents with young kids who may find more adult San Diego Halloween celebrations like SeaWorld San Diego’s Howl-O-Scream or The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park too scary.

If you’re looking for other family-friendly Halloween parties in San Diego, we’ve got you covered with our articles on the Best Halloween Events & Haunted Houses for Kids & Teens in San Diego 2025 plus the Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld San Diego, and HalGLOWeen at the San Diego Zoo.

When is LEGOLAND California’s Brick-or-Treat in 2025?

The 2025 Brick-or-Treat Monster Party will begin on select dates starting Saturday, September 20th and running until Saturday, November 1st, 2025, making it one of the longest running seasonal events among San Diego’s Halloween festivities.

More specifically, the event will be held on Saturday, September 20th and Saturday, September 27th, plus every Saturday and Sunday in October and on Sunday, November 1st. On Saturdays, the event will be held during normal park hours,10:00am until 9:00pm in October and from 10:00am until 8:00pm on Sundays and on November 1st.

Local Tips
Don't Forget Layers for After Dark
The afternoon sun can be deceiving! Carlsbad gets chilly once the sun sets. Since the Monster Party runs late, locals know to bring layers. Pack sweatshirts for the whole family so you can stay comfortable for the late-night shows, last rides, and the final candy haul without getting cold.

Get Your Tickets & Stay Over!

Getting a ticket to the LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat is easy, especially when you buy them before you go! LEGOLAND California has many options, from 1-day single park tickets, to multi-park options, and even annual passes.

What are my Ticket Options for LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat?

LEGOLAND California offers multiple ticket options, from 1-day tickets up to Elite Annual Passes, some which include admission to Brick-or-Treat, and others that do not. Let’s walk through your best options.

LEGOLAND California Brick-or-Treat Monster Party Tickets

Possibly your simplest and most straight forward option is to buy a 1-day LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat Monster Party ticket. They are available on LEGOLAND California’s website for $79 to $89 on Sundays and $119 to $129 on Saturdays.

Priced as a ‘special seasonal event’ ticket, they are not part of the Kids Free San Diego program and so kids (2 years and older) and adults tickets are the same price. While not your best option in terms of price, this is possibly your easiest choice.

LEGOLAND California + SEA LIFE Aquarium Tickets + Brick-or-Treat Monster Party

The park offers a 1-day admission ticket to LEGOLAND California and the SEA LIFE Aquarium that also includes admission to the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party as long as you visit on a Saturday or Sunday during the seasonal event.

An adult ticket costs $149 but also includes a FREE kids ticket as part of the Kids Free San Diego program. To qualify, your child must be 12 or younger. Additional single tickets are $119. For a small upcharge, this ticket type is also offered in a 2-day version.

LEGOLAND California + SEA LIFE Aquarium + LEGOLAND Water Park Tickets + Brick-or-Treat Monster Party

They also offer a 1-day admission ticket version that includes LEGOLAND California, the SEA LIFE Aquarium, and LEGOLAND Water Park.

An adult ticket will cost you $169 but again, this ticket option also includes a FREE kids ticket as part of the Kids Free San Diego program. Additional single tickets are $134. Like the LEGOLAND California + SEA LIFE Aquarium ticket, for a small upcharge, this ticket type is also offered in a 2-day version.

Does my LEGOLAND California Annual Pass Include Brick-or-Treat?

Great question! The answer is ‘maybe’.

If you are a Silver, Gold, or Platinum annual passholder then your pass does not include entry into the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party. You’re eligible to buy a ticket starting at $24 per person. You can also buy a ‘Bring-a-Friend’ ticket starting at $49 per person.

If your family has Elite Annual Passes, then the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party is included with your pass at no extra charge.

Can My Family Attend with a Stay and Play Pass

If you’re staying at one of the participating ‘Stay and Play’ hotels like the LEGOLAND Castle or LEGOLAND California Resort, that’s awesome! If you booked a day to visit during a Brick-or-Treat Monster Party, admission is included with your ticket!

Discount LEGOLAND California Tickets in the Fall

Your best bet for savings on LEGOLAND California admission is to buy a Go City San Diego pass using our discount code GVSD5OFF. Unfortunately, the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party is a seasonal event that requires a special ticket, even for passholders, so you won’t be able to get into the party with your go pass.

You can still visit the park on another day, plus dozens of other exciting attractions around San Diego County, including family-friendly standouts like the world-famous San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park during their HalGLOWeen event and SeaWorld San Diego in Mission Bay Park during their Halloween Spooktacular event.

Special October 2025 Seasonal Promotions

There are currently two incredible promotions running in October that you won’t want to miss.

They’re both aimed at scoring you FREE kids tickets to LEGOLAND California and some will even land your kids FREE admission to the 2025 Brick-or-Treat Monster Party. But you’ll have to act fast!

Kids Free San Diego in October

The first option is the Kids Free San Diego in October program. For LEGOLAND California, kids 12 and under get in free with the purchase of one adult ticket. All you need is a[ Kids Free San Diego coupon](https://sandiegomuseumcouncil.org/kids-free-museum-pass/) to be eligible.

Note that only certain LEGOLAND California ticket types are included as part of the Kids Free San Diego program, so make sure your kids show as FREE when you add them to your cart.

This program also includes free admission for kids to 60+ museums and attractions through San Diego all in the month of October.

Kids Go Free in October with the Go City San Diego Pass

The second is the ‘Kids Go Free in October’ promotion with the Go City San Diego Pass. With the purchase of a single Adult Go City San Diego Essentials Pass, which is currently $154, you’ll be eligible to get up to four FREE kids passes.

You must purchase by October 14th and use the FREE kids passes by October 31st. Unfortunately as a special seasonal event, the 2025 Brick-or-Treat Monster Party isn’t part of this deal.

LEGO Themed Hotels

If you want to make a weekend out of it, why not stay at one of two LEGOLAND hotels?

Our biggest recommendation if you’re attending Brick-or-Treat is to combine the experience with the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, which is right on the property and delightfully LEGO themed in each room.

There are quite a few other great hotels near LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad, including the LEGOLAND California Resort Hotel, plus our team has covered some additional excellent family-friendly hotels in San Diego as well.

Getting a hotel is always a good idea if you have little ones who may need a little nap in between all of the Halloween fun and you can’t get any more convenient than one of the two LEGOLAND Resort Hotels on property!

Brick-or-Treat 2025 will kick off the moment you step through the LEGOLAND California park entrance, which gets a makeover of its own to prepare for this annual Halloween event.

Live Entertainment and Silly Shows

There are five unique live show performances set for Brick-or-Treat 2025 including Halloween updates to long-running favorites such as Once Upon a Brick: The Tale of the Wolf Guy in the Creatures of the Kingdom area of Castle Hill.

The Skeleton Brass Band dance party and The Monster Rock Off are both musical performances that will have you and your kids dancing along. And don’t miss the Beastly Brick Beatz show and the Zombie Cheer Crew on the Fun Town Stage, where you and your kids will be invited to join the action!

Character Meet-and-Greets

LEGOLAND California brings its characters to life, which is just as true for roaming park favorites as it is for the monstrous additions of Brick-or-Treat. Sure to delight kids rather than scare them, the array of friendly faces including Spider Lady, Monster Rocker, Tiger Woman, Mummy, and a new addition to the cast, the mad Monster Scientist.

Look out for more characters like Monster Frankenstein?, Green Witch, and Lord Vampyre who are roaming the park as well! Be sure to get pictures with all of them so you can create a mini photo album when you get home!

What Halloween Attractions Should Visitors Not Miss?

2025 Brick-or-Treat 2025 means a variety of limited-time attractions, games, and activities your kids won’t want to miss! Some are new in 2025 and others are returning favorites!

NEW Limited-time Attractions in 2025

New for 2025, don’t miss the LEGO Halloween tree. It’s made from 680,963 LEGOs and stands 17 feet tall complete with twinkling cobwebs, ghosts, and more. Talk about a photo op!

I also like how they transformed the Coast Cruise into the Ghost Cruise complete with silly scenes and tricks and treats!

Below is the list of new attractions you’ll find during 2025’s Brick-or-Treat.

  • Ghost Cruise
  • Halloween Themed Driving School
  • LEGO Halloween Tree

Returning Halloween Favorite Attractions

Some of my kid’s favorite attractions will return for the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party this year.

Your kids can once again craft LEGO spiders at Spider Lady’s Spiderling Build, search the park for missing lab equipment to be awarded this year’s commemorative LEGO brick, try to pass inspection at the Monster Security Checkpoint, and enjoy a 4D movie adventure complete with exciting effects and silly scares. Trust me, you won’t hear “I’m bored” for a few hours!

If your kids like rides, I also suggest the Disco Dragon Coaster. It’s a temporary ride you won’t see during the normal season. Below is the list of returning favorites!

  • The Great Monster Chase
  • Disco Dragon Coaster
  • Monster Scientist Lost Lab Supplies Scavenger Hunt
  • Monster Security Checkpoint
  • Spider Lady’s Spiderling Build
  • Prehistoric Pumpkin Patch
  • Spider Swarming Miniland

In addition to the silly shows, exciting character meet and greets, and attractions all decked out for the holiday, there’s even more!

Brick-or-Treat Candy Stations

From 3:00pm until close on event days, your kids can go trick-or-treating at candy stations scattered throughout the park. These treat trails are marked by signs with the LEGO Skeleton Guy or the pumpkin icon on the park’s map.

Your kids will discover six different candy stations in 2025 at locations such as Ghoulish Gooddies, Candysaurus Corner, Brainy Bitez and my personal favorite, Creature Candy next to Granny’s Apple Fries.

They’ll find them all over, from the dino digs near the Prehistoric Pumpkin Patch in Dino Valley to Monster Band Boulevard in Miniland Lawn and the three locations in Fun Town near Zombie University!

Festive Culinary Treats

The park’s restaurants are getting in on the fun in 2025 with an assortment of limited-time festive Halloween treats. Personally I can say that this year looks to be offering some of the most creative choices yet!

Be on the lookout for the Creepy Crawly Apple Fries complete with raspberry ‘blood, and oreo dirt, a Monster Mash Burger on a black bun, and my favorite, the Haunted Head Sundae which includes ‘bloody’ strawberry syrup and gummy eyeballs.

There’s also a Spider Bite Sundae that’s gotten the attention of our team at Go Visit San Diego team! It includes an oreo spider and fresh churro. Be sure to give that a try too!

Costume Contests in Miniland USA

What Halloween event is complete without a costume contest?

LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat is holding a daily V.I.M. (that’s short for Very Important Monster, of course) Costume Contest hosted by Lord Vampyre, with the chance to win awesome prizes for kids 12 and under like a LEGOLAND California Resort hotel stay, 4-pack of tickets or a LEGO® City or LEGO® Friends set .

There are prizes for Best Space, Best Homemade, and Best Group. There’s also a V.I.M. Junior Contest for kids 0-6.

Plan your day accordingly because contest times for age 12 and younger are 2:00pm, 3:30pm, and 4:30pm. The Junior Contest takes place at 1:00pm. You can check out the full contest rules on the LEGOLAND site.
