Some of my personal favorite parts of any seasonal event are the live music and shows, decorations, and of course the limited-time food and beverage options.
Knott’s Scary Farm has all of this and more. Let’s explore the details!

Spooktacular Costume Party at Knotts Spooky Farm
Snoopy’s Spooktacular Costume Party
Ghouls and goblins (and princesses) or all ages are invited to join Snoopy and his crew at the Calico Mine Stage for a Spooktacular Costume Party. Your kids will get to dance and let off a little steam as they are entertained by the live show.
The Calico Mine Stage is located between Calico Park and Charleston Circle in the center of the park. I think this looks like a lot of fun for kids 11 and under.
It just so happens to be right next to one of my favorite coffee shops in the park, Charleston Circle Coffee. I recommend getting one of their pumpkin spiced lattes with a red velvet black widow whoopie pie and letting your kids dance and play as you enjoy a couple seasonal tasty treats!

Calico Saloon Show at Knotts Berry Farm
Live Entertainment & Shows
In addition to Spooky Farm’s Halloween costume party with Snoopy, there’s also a puppet show and live country music performance worth checking out!
Bob Baker Marionette Theater
Live at the Bird Cage Theater, I think the spooky puppet show is unique and amazing at the same time. Bob Baker Marionette’s are a Southern California tradition at this point with puppeteers that are incredibly talented.
The performance is only on select days so ask upon arrival so if they’re performing when you’re there, you can plan to attend.
Krazy Kirk & the Hillbillies
I’d call these guys country music with a comedic twist, and enough energy for an audience of 100! You’ll find them at the Wagon Camp stage ready to entertain you and your family!
Special Seasonal Food and Drinks
I’ve been to most of the big Halloween events in San Diego, and very few have as many seasonal food and drink options as Knott’s Spooky Farm.
With 28 participating restaurants, bakeries, quick-service booths, and food carts getting into the action in 2025, the challenge will be what to choose - so let me help!
Spooky Bites & Delicious Treats
For your kids, selections like the Ghoulish Kids Glow Funnel Cake, a funnel cake with vanilla soft serve, plus glow in the dark pineapple cream and sour patch kids, will be an instant hit. Parents can find it at Ghost Town Grub. I can say it’s a huge favorite in my family.
My kids are also big pizza fans! They really like the pumpkin and chorizo pizza from Prop Shop Pizzeria and the Slime Pizza which comes with pesto, mozzarella, jalapeño sausage and cherry tomatoes from Grizzly Creek Lodge. Both are a little spicy so if your little ones don’t like spicy foods I suggest that you ask them to leave off the jalapeño sausage.
If you’re really hungry, I can recommend Sutter’s Grill for the Decomposing Bison Burger. Sounds delicious, right! The bison burger includes caramelized onions, blue cheese crumbles, swiss cheese, and a totally delicious smoky mayonnaise. It makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Vegetarian, vegan, allergy-friendly, and gluten-friendly options are all available throughout the park. For info on food allergy options, visit Guest Services or check the Knott’s app for safe dining locations.
Seasonal Specialty Drinks
There’s also a wide selection of limited-time specialty drink options for the adults!
My favorites are the Blood Moon Margarita at Baja Taqueria, which is a margarita infused with blood orange, and the Pumpkineater Mule at the Gold Mine Trail Booth, which is ginger beer, lime juice, and pumpkin spiced syrup spiked with vodka. These two are flat delicious!
