Comic-Con has grown from humble beginnings in 1972, for a very niche audience, to over 135,000 enthusiasts annually. Comic book devotees and tourists flock from all over the world to San Diego's 46,000 square-foot Convention Center! They love sharing their passion for comics and spotting the stars at this unique 4-day gathering.

Throughout Comic-Con, the event overflows into Downtown San Diego bars and cafes in the Gaslamp Quarter!

The 2024 Comic-Con will take place Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28. It is an in-person event located in the San Diego Convention Center, and all four days are full of panels and guest appearances by famous names in pop culture, as well as plenty of vendors to check out around the convention hall.

Tickets & Pricing

The Comic Book Convention has a per-day schedule of how they sell their tickets or as they call them attendee badges. You can choose to attend one day or all four days.

Unfortunately, all the attendee badges are sold out. Next year's badges go on sale in November the year prior to the event.

For adults, the prices are:

Preview Night: $59
Thursday through Saturday: $79 per day
Sunday: $54
Or you can pay $291 for a 4-day badge

For anyone 13 to 17:

Preview night: $30
Thursday through Saturday: $40 per day
Sunday: $27

All children who are 12 and under enter for free. Military and Senior discount prices run the same price as junior passes.

The Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame (MCHOF)

In 2019, Batman, DC's iconic superhero, became the first to be initiated into the Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame. Open all year round, the Museum honors the iconic characters who have made such an impact on popular culture over time.

As of 2024, hall of fame inductees also include PAC-MAN, Wonder Woman, and last year’s addition, Spider-Man.

In 2024, a new member will be joining the ranks who has yet to be announced. You won’t want to miss their induction ceremony, which will take place during Comic-Con!

Directions to the San Diego Convention Center & Parking Information

Lot Parking

Street Parking

Whichever way you're coming from, you will want to hop onto I-5 north or south. Take the 17th Street exit off of the freeway into Downtown San Diego.

If you're traveling on I-5 south:

After taking the 17th Street exit, you will need to turn right onto Imperial Avenue. Take another right onto 12th Avenue from where you will take a left onto J Street.

If you are traveling on I-5 north:

After taking the 17th street exit, you will take an immediate left onto J Street.

From J Street, you will take a left onto Fourth Avenue. You will come to a 'T' where you will need to turn left. After that, take a right onto Fifth Avenue to see the Convention Center straight ahead!

Parking Information

You have several options for parking when you attend this fantastic event. Below are some of the highlights around the venue for parking your car.

501 West Broadway: $30 on Saturday or Sunday only. 18-minute walk
1050 Columbia Street: $25 and a 19-minute walk
948 Kettner Blvd: $28 and a 16-minute walk
